Gasp, dare I say it! For the past year, I have thrown caution to the wind and stopped relaxing my hair. I did not have a big “come to Jesus moment” after watching Chris Rock’s “Good Hair”. Rather, not relaxing my hair this past year just happened by accident.
In May, I got extensions and had been wearing them for sometime. Recently, I took out my extensions and have been wearing my hair out. It sometimes feels like a herculean task to tame my mane! I try not to put too many products in my hair to avoid product build up.
If you have been to Target lately, you may have stumbled upon Curls products. Recently, I tried the Curls Passion Fruit Curl Control Paste. First off, it smells very delicious and second it is a fantastic product to control my edges when I have my hair pulled back.
The best thing about this product is that it is full of the things your hair needs like shea butter and jojoba oil (personal favorite) and none of the things it does not need like mineral and petrolatum oil. The line was created by Mahisha Dellinger, a former marketing manager who left corporate America to start her own company after seeing a need in the market place for quality hair products for black women in 2002.
Since I really liked this product, I think I will be testing out a few other items from Curls!
