Product Review: Sally Hansen Salon Effects

SE 2

A few weeks ago on a whim, I purchased the Sally Hansen Salon Effects at Ulta. Ordinarily, I am a single nail color type of girl but I love houndstooth print so when I saw these really cool nail strips I just had to give them a try.

The package comes with 16 nail strips in various sizes and according to Sally Hansen, they are supposed to last up to 10 days. That was music to my ears because I am lucky if my manicure last 7 days.

The instructions are very easy. Simply open the package, find a strip that fits your nail, peel off the protective film, detach the nail strip from its backing, press the strip to your nail and file down the excessive strips and voila, you have fantastic designed nails!

I will say, the nails really do last longer than a regular manicure. I had them on my nails for 7 days, but I had to cover them up with a darker nail polish because of a presentation at work. I decided to throw in a red nail color in just for fun.

Now here is my big con with the nails strips. It takes FOREVER to come off. Soak your hands in nail polish for about 5 minutes before trying to remove them. Overall, I think this is a fun product and I would try it again sometime in the future.
