Every year, I love seeing all the best fashions at Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Off course, there are always some hits and misses. The theme for this year’s Met Gala was “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” so that explains some of the very different styles we saw on the red carpet. So let’s dive right in with the good and I say good and not the BEST because I was not completely blown away.
From left to right: Blake Lively in Gucci Première, Solange Knowles in Kenzo, Jennifer Lopez in Michael Kors, Chanel Iman in J. Mendel, Carey Mulligan in Balenciaga, Taylor Swift in J. Mendel, Kerry Washington in Vera Wang, Miranda Kerr in Michael Kors
AND NOW… The bad and it pains me because these two women are truly stunningly beautiful and stylish on any other day! Kim Kardashian wore this tragic and definite DON’T by the truly talented Riccardo Tisci. Beyonce arrived in this unfortunate ensemble by topnotch fashion house Givenchy (we all have missteps). Initially, I did not care for either outfit, however, the longer I looked at Kim Kardashian the better Beyonce’s costume appeared. Queen Bey, please send Kim a bouquet for her ultimate sacrifice.
